La ville nomm\u00e9e <strong>Goods Springs<\/strong> (plus tard <strong>Goodsprings<\/strong>) se d\u00e9veloppa gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte d\u2019argent, de plomb, puis d\u2019or, formant le district minier Yellow Pine d\u00e8s 1882.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u00c2ge d\u2019or &amp; infrastructure<\/strong><br>De 1901 \u00e0 1911, la compagnie Yellow Pine consolide les mines, construit une usine de concassage, puis un chemin de fer transportant le minerai jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Jean, dynamisant l\u2019\u00e9conomie locale. Le village atteint jusqu\u2019\u00e0 <strong>800 habitants<\/strong> entre 1915 et 1918 \u2014 poss\u00e9dant h\u00f4tels, \u00e9coles, journal local et un h\u00f4pital.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pioneer Saloon &amp; tragique histoire hollywoodienne<\/strong><br>Inaugur\u00e9 en 1913 par George Fayle, le <strong>Pioneer Saloon<\/strong> est devenu l\u2019un des plus anciens bars en activit\u00e9 du Sud du Nevada. Il abrite encore les <strong>traces d\u2019un r\u00e8glement de comptes durant une partie de poker en 1915<\/strong> \u2014 visibles dans ses murs.<br>En 1942, le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre acteur <strong>Clark Gable y s\u00e9journa<\/strong>, attendant des nouvelles de sa femme, <strong>Carole Lombard<\/strong>, tu\u00e9e dans un crash \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 \u2014 un \u00e9v\u00e9nement d\u00e9sormais comm\u00e9mor\u00e9 au saloon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>D\u00e9clin progressif<\/strong><br>Apr\u00e8s la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale, la demande de minerai baissa. Malgr\u00e9 un bref sursaut pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le d\u00e9clin fut in\u00e9vitable. Le chemin de fer ferma en 1930, la production chuta, et la population se r\u00e9duisit drastiquement\u202f. Plusieurs b\u00e2timents, dont l\u2019h\u00f4tel Fayle, furent d\u00e9truits par des incendies, notamment en 1966.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fame moderne gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Fallout<\/strong><br>Goodsprings ressurgit dans la culture populaire gr\u00e2ce au jeu vid\u00e9o <strong>Fallout: New Vegas<\/strong>.
